This is a start-up veterinary practice converted from an HSBC bank branch which opened in 2024. The design approach was driven by a vision to create a harmonious balance between functionality and aesthetics. Our goal was to ensure that the space not only met the practical needs of the clinic but also feels inviting and comfortable for both staff and clients.
One of the most significant challenges we faced was designing a veterinary space that avoided feeling confined, despite the limited natural light available from just four large windows positioned at the front of the building. To address this, we crafted an organic layout that gradually expands towards the rear, creating a seamless sense of flow and openness.
By carefully selecting a palette of materials and colours that enhance brightness, we were able to amplify the sense of airiness throughout the interior, ensuring the environment is welcoming, uplifting, and light filled.
"It was a very big project for our first practice, but we are so proud of what we have been able to achieve! We are forever grateful to Jonathan & team at Veterinary Architects for bringing our dream practice & vision to life!"
